Pure Piano Portraits is just that!
stars-5-0.gif (1177 bytes)

Each track on this album by Dr. Jeff Bjorck is a soundscape that takes you away to that place in your mind where you feel safe and protected. His arrangements of Be Thou My Vision, Walk Down Steward Lane, and Jerusalem are refreshing and alive, yet have the sensitivity to touch the heart. Butterfly Sunrise brings to mind a truly grand sight, that of the Monarch butterflies that gather every year in Carmel, California. Mountain Echoes and Catskill Mountain Meadow give an almost visual aspect to the sound. Jeff's music conveys the beauty and serenity that can only be found in the mountains. Living Waters captures not only the sound of gentle flowing water but also the turbulence of the waves and the action of the rapids as it moves helter-skelter along its course. Jeff's ability to capture the moment of a River Sunset as the sun makes its journey below the horizon, and afterwards the Twilight that remains, is uncanny. On Can't Say How I Feel and Waiting For Farewell there exist the mixed emotions of uncertainty and longing with the hurt and regret of goodbye. Starlight Ragtime Waltz is that last dance before you say farewell to that special someone and go home to sleep and dream of the times past and maybe glimpses into the future. Pure Piano Portraits is an album that is full of powerful emotions and sensitive moments that reach out and touch the heart and grab the soul. I look forward to the next album of which there should be many by Jeff Bjorck, an extremely talented individual. We at Innervisions are very glad to include Pure Piano Portraits in our programming!" ~~Dave Butler, host of InnerVisions radio program, 1420AM WHBN
